The cinnamon spiced flavor of these apples goes great with just about anything! I even like them on toast or biscuits for breakfast!
6 cups Jonathon or Granny Smith apples, peeled & sliced thick
1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon water
1/4 cup chopped pecans, optional
1. Spray a slow cooker with cooking spray.
2. Mix all the ingredients together in prepared slow cooker.
3. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours or on low for 6 hours. Makes 6 servings.

Oh yum…kids would go crazy over these…sans nuts! We run through apples so fast, though…next time I hit the Farmer’s Market, this is on the menu 😀
Apples are here to stay. I can smell the cinnamon from here.
I made Sara’s apple cake, last night and it is chock full of apples and a beautiful cake. Have not tasted it yet. Can only imagine how good those apples are going to make that cake.
